Spirit-Anointed Witness of God’s People in a Multi-Cultural World

Mathew PhilipKarimpanamannil. The thesis is that the church be authorized, enlightened, enriched, equipped, and empowered to proclaim, practice, and demonstrate the power of God’s Kingdom. It is high time to mobilize the congregation of a homogeneous culture for witnessing in a multi-cultural context. Christ-event and Spirit-event resulted in church as a vibrant community, which transcends national, ethnic, social, and other barriers. Under the influence of modernism, post modernism, and technological revolution, the focus of churches has drifted from Jesus Christ and Spirit-anointed witness to institutions, finances, and programs. The Laodicea syndrome (Rev. 3:14-17) leads to spiritual and moral deterioration. The closing of Europe’s churches reflects the rapid weakening of Christian faith in the West. The world-wide pandemic results in isolation from others. The widespread persecution even to the extent of martyrdom in the middle East, Asian countries and Africa calls us for developing a relational paradigm.  Jesus Christ is the perfect role model in our witness and ministry (John 18:37; Acts 1:8; 4:18-19; 10:38).
